Even though the invention of elevator stretches back 100 years ago, it is not until the last fifty years that it became a commercial entity and people are starting to accept it as a way of life.
Still, other than the elevator experts, we lack general safety knowledge. This can be seen when during an emergency, passengers trapped inside the elevator would press all sorts of buttons in panic.
Therefore, as a responsible elevator manufacturer, we took the initiative to tabulate few possible cause of elevator failure and some recommended actions to take

Hall door cannot open with a key.

  1. Incoming power supply is not connected
 2. Door open/close circuit fuse damage
 3. Key access Contactor point damage or faulty
 4. Key access Contactor coil or Contactor point damage
 5. One of the car door circuitry Contactor or Contactor ON/OFF switch damage.
 6. No power supply to the car door motor field coil , short or open circuit or motor carbon brush damage or armature coil short or open circuit		  1. Connect incoming supply
 2. replace fuse
 3. If Contactor Contact point is dirty, clean it with alchohol. Adjust Contact spring and replace Contact point if damaged.
 4. Replace Contactor coil if damage or replace .
 5. Trace the circuit and locate damage Contactor, Contactor ON/FF switch.
 6. Inspect magnetic coil and armature coil voltage in the motor. Inspect carbon brush and act accordingly.

Elevator refuse to move

  1. Incoming power supply not connected. Wrong or incomplete phase connection
 2. Control circuit fuse damage or circuit breaker tripped.
 3. Car/Hall door cannot close properly or door key access Contactor Contact point dirty or damage.
 4. Safety circuit ON/FF switch or Contactor or relay not connected or improper connection or cable damage.
 5. Control device not switch on or motor faulty		  1. Identify cause and act accordingly
 2. Replace fuse and reset circuit breaker
 3. Close car dor properly and inspect door key access.
 4. Inspect safety circuit relay Contactors and circuitry.
 5. Inspect brake and motor.

Elevator starts to move when door are not properly closed

  1.Door lock relay remain closed.
 2. Part of door lock circuit short or not properly earthed.		  1. Repair or replace
 2. Inspect for short circuit, earthing and repair.

Passengers are trapped between doors

  1.Damaged infra light or infra screen or connection loose.
 2. Micro switch damaged
 3. Micro switch or infra light circuit short.
 4. Safety trigger mechanism damage		  1. Inspect or replace infra ligh or infra screen on/off switch.
 2. Replace or repair micro switch
 3. Check for short circuitary
 4. Inspect trigger mechanism or replace damaged parts.
